Apart from a few moments of limited seasonal interest, most commercial landscapes are visually benign for most of the year. While the driving emphasis is on low-maintenance typified by overuse of the same plant species (i.e Red Yucca, Mexican Feather Grass), this can be an opportunity to utilize a broad range of native perennials, grasses, flowering ground covers and even wildflowers offering greater visual appeal.
